How did you get into triathlon?
I was tired of being round and average.

How long have you been doing triathlon?
About 1 year

Favorite workout?
Right now, probably either the pool or the bike. I'm starting to vibe on the runs now too.

Do you have training partners?
I've really taken a shine to training by myself. It's my time alone with my thoughts.

Best Race?
Play Tri Olympic 2008 - dropped 7 minutes on my 10k

Worst Race?
A race not run.

Why you do triathlons?
I do triathlon because I need something to do outside of work. I like the health and fitness benefits... and the women are smokin'!

What's next for you?
1st half Ironman in July '08.

Most embarrassing moment doing sports?
Being completely confused by the concept of offense and defense on my first pee-wee soccer team.

What time do you wake up?
4:45 am M - F, 6:30 am Sat - Sun

Favorite song to train to?
I've found that listen to music while training is a major distraction for me. Not only does it increase the chances of ending up under the wheel of a vehicle, I also find it destroys my ability to monitor my breathing and pacing.

Out of all 3 sports- which is your favorite?
I like 'em all. I've banished the run demons recently.

What kind of food do you eat during a workout?
Powerbar Gels

Favorite food (regular)?
Piggie Pies pizza and mediterranean food

Spouse/Significant Other?
Rolling solo right now and lovin' it.

Other sports interest?
Backpacking, camping, water skiing and drinking.

Something that you like to do that is not sports related?
Visit Italy, the Maldives, Dubai and Greece.

Favorite TV show/movie?
College football

Greatest motivator?
All the fat IT geeks around me that get winded climbing the stairs in front of the building.

New Orleans. Jazz Fest, Vodoo Fest and yummy food!

I'm an Eagle Scout.

I do triathlon to get away from work.
