How did you get into triathlon?
I ran in college for UNC-Chapel Hill, swam in High School and decided to pick up biking when I graduated from college so I could compete in triathlons.

How long have you been doing triathlon?
Over 8 years.

Favorite workout?
Track workouts.

Do you have training partners?
Only a few.

Best Race?
There are many.

Worst Race?
Boston Marathon.

Why you do triathlons?
I love the training. It's a great way to be outside in any weather, meet and train with new people and release the stresses of the day.

What's next for you?
Beat the Heat, Texasman, Toyota Open.

Most embarrassing moment doing sports?
Nothing extreme enough to type.

Running Shoe that you wear?
New Balance.

What time do you wake up?
Between 5:00 and 7:30 depending on the day and the workouts planned.

Favorite song to train to?
I rarely run with music and I never bike or swim with music. But, those times I choose to run with my ipod the first song I play is usually Numb/Encore by JayZ/Linkin Park.

Out of all 3 sports- which is your favorite?

What kind of food do you eat during a workout?
Power bar, gel, gatorade, water. That's about it.

Other sports interest?
Bikram yoga, tennis, golf, skiing - snow and water, hiking.

Something that you like to do that is not sports related?
Read, go to plays, go to concerts, art galleries, drink wine.

Favorite TV show/movie?
No favorites, but I like shows like Seinfeld, Wil & Grace, Everybody Loves Raymond, etc. I've loved a lot of movies, but ones that stand out as hilarious to me are You, Me and Dupree and Fun with Dick and Jane.

Greatest motivator?
The way I know I will feel after the workout.

Interesting fact about yourself?
I love all foods, I have no allergies, but I can't stand raw celery sticks. I continue to try them every now and then and I still don't like them.

What do you like to do to get away from triathlon?
I don't have trouble relaxing so I don't need to "get away" from triathlon.
