How did you get into triathlon?
My friend, Melissa, found a fun website about the Iron Girl. Asked if I wanted to do it, and I said "Heck, yeah!"
How long have you been doing triathlon?
The Iron Girl this year will be my very first Tri. (pun intended)
Interval training of any kind. I like the drill where you run in a group, single file, and the person on the end sprints to the front to lead the pack, and the next, etc...
Do you have training partners?

Ok, this was a long time ago - back in H.S. track - when I was running the 3200, first time on an indoor track...I thought I was finished, but had 2 more laps to go...
Why you do triathlons?
Because you get to mix it up, I don't get bored as easily with training in the different events.
What's next for you?
The Iron Girl, then I'll need to choose another Tri to try ;-)
Most embarrassing moment doing sports?
I'm sure I've blocked that memory out
Running Shoe that you wear?
What time do you wake up?
My alarm is set for 6am...which means I'm usually out of bed by 6:20am...I'm not "awake" until after I've taken my dogs out for their morning walk.
Favorite song to train to?
It varies, but lately for running it's a couple of songs - one by Bright Eyes, "Arc of Time" and one by Missy Higgins, "Steer"
Out of all 3 sports- which is your favorite?
Cycling - by far is my favorite
What kind of food do you eat during a workout?
Gu, powergel, water
Favorite food (regular)?
Pizza, pizza, pizza

Other sports interest?
I've started an interest in playing Tennis. And kickboxing is always empowering. And I really enjoy watching Football.
Something that you like to do that is not sports related?
spending time with my two min pins - they are a ton of fun.
Favorite TV show/movie?
Currently, my favorite TV show is 30 Rock, and favorite movie is still The Princess Bride.
The carrot, and never the stick, has always been the greatest motivator...it's the reward. Over and above, it's the feeling of accomplishing something you set your mind and heart to do.
Interesting fact about yourself?
I am a volunteer for the SPCA.
What do you like to do to get away from triathlon?
Hang out by the pool, read, and relax.
