How did you get into triathlon?
It's too hot to run all summer, so I wanted to work on swimming and biking. So, I joined the Toyota Open program in 2008.

How long have you been doing triathlon?
I attempted a sprint in 2006 and vowed not to do it again until I improved my swim... then started training in earnest in 2008 after some swim instruction.

Favorite workout?
Chuck's Thursday morning workouts

Do you have training partners?
I can keep up with Gigi and occasionally, the quadruplets

Best Race?
Las Vegas 1/2 Marathon - 2008. Perfect conditions, and I left it all on the course.

Worst Race?
Metroplex Sprint Tri 2006... they had to pull me out of the water

Why you do triathlons?
Cross-training; personal satisfaction; to prove to myself that I can

Most embarrassing moment doing sports?
Well Marshall always makes fun of my triple chain-ring on my old Bianchi

What time do you wake up?
4:45 if I make it to TTh workouts... 6:30 or so otherwise

Favorite song to train to?
Music is not allowed in a triathlon :) I had to give it up during training.

Out of all 3 sports- which is your favorite?
running, but after getting my new bike... biking is gaining quickly

What kind of food do you eat during a workout?
Gels, Clif Bars

Favorite food (regular)?
Cheeseburgers - that and beer are why I started running in the first place... Ahi Tower is up there, too

Griffin - 8 Bekah - 6 Cookie - 4

Texas Rangers

Something that you like to do that is not sports related?
I would say drink beer, but I kinda make that a sport, too... I also like to read and spend time with my kids

being ready on race-day
