How did you get into triathlon?
My best friend used to be a world class ITU champion back in the early 90's, he got me into running and then triathlons.

How long have you been doing triathlon?
First one was October 2008.

Favorite workout?
I enjoy all of them in different ways.

Do you have training partners?
Yes, I love running with Victor Torres. Riding with the group is awesome too.

Best Race?
Ironman Arizona 2009, Ironman Texas 2011 and Ironman Florida 2012.

Worst Race?
Longhorn 2010, had a flat that I couldn't repair on mile 48 of the bike, I pedaled to T2 anyway and had an awful run. I ate a big piece of humble pie, even contemplated quitting the sport, but that all went away as soon as I crossed the finish line.

Why you do triathlons?
The endorphines! It allows for many benefits, keeps me grounded, sharp, fit, happy and healthy.

What's next for you?
2013 season: Houston Marathon, Ironman San Juan Puerto Rico 70.3, Ironman Texas 140.6, Ironman Buffalo Springs 70.3, Ironman Boulder 70.3 and Ironman Lake Tahoe 140.6.

Most embarrassing moment doing sports?
A three minute T1 because I couldn't take my wetsuit off, I got so nervous that I couldn't strap my helmet neither.

Running Shoe that you wear?
Zoots and Brooks.

Bonk breaker bars are my new favorite.

Favorite food (regular)?
