How did you get into triathlon?
My best friend used to be a world class ITU champion back in the early 90's, he got me into running and then triathlons.
How long have you been doing triathlon?
First one was October 2008.
I enjoy all of them in different ways.
Do you have training partners?
Yes, I love running with Victor Torres. Riding with the group is awesome too.
Ironman Arizona 2009, Ironman Texas 2011 and Ironman Florida 2012.
Longhorn 2010, had a flat that I couldn't repair on mile 48 of the bike, I pedaled to T2 anyway and had an awful run. I ate a big piece of humble pie, even contemplated quitting the sport, but that all went away as soon as I crossed the finish line.
Why you do triathlons?
The endorphines! It allows for many benefits, keeps me grounded, sharp, fit, happy and healthy.
What's next for you?
2013 season: Houston Marathon, Ironman San Juan Puerto Rico 70.3, Ironman Texas 140.6, Ironman Buffalo Springs 70.3, Ironman Boulder 70.3 and Ironman Lake Tahoe 140.6.
Most embarrassing moment doing sports?
A three minute T1 because I couldn't take my wetsuit off, I got so nervous that I couldn't strap my helmet neither.
Running Shoe that you wear?
Zoots and Brooks.
What time do you wake up?
Favorite song to train to?
None, I don't listen to music while I'm training. It's enough of a high!
Out of all 3 sports- which is your favorite?
Cycling, it used to be running.
What kind of food do you eat during a workout?
Bonk breaker bars are my new favorite.
Favorite food (regular)?
Mediterranean food, and it's also super healthy.
Other sports interest?
Snow skiing because I grew up doing it. No other sport if I can't do it myself, I'm not a spectator, I'm an actor.
Something that you like to do that is not sports related?
Reading, traveling, some other things that finish with "ing"
Favorite TV show/movie?
NO TV, whatsoever. Period.

What do you like to do to get away from triathlon?
Travel, but who doesn't like that?
