How did you get into triathlon?
A girlfriend at the gym asked me if I wanted to train for one, and I said, “What is a triathlon? Swim- yeah, I lifeguarded. Bike, sure- I ride my piece I call a bike (old mountain/hybrid) every now and then. And run- I do 5k’s. Sure, why not?!”

How long have you been doing triathlon?
Little did I know I’d be here after 4 years!

Favorite workout?
800’s at track or any fun relay run

Do you have training partners?
Yes-Kimberly, Karen, and Kevin, & Laine.

Best Race?
Tri- Most improved times- this year at Landry Best run- hmmm… 3rd place AG at Elvis 5K the last two years. PR- Greenville St. Paddy’s Day 5K

Worst Race?
TexasMan Half Iron Relay- I did the run portion at noon in 95 degree heat with temps in the 100’s on the pavement. Not fun!

Why you do triathlons?
To stay in shape and be in a community of healthy people with a similar lifestyles.

What's next for you?
White Rock Half Marathon & Austin Marathon

Most embarrassing moment doing sports?
Falling off my bike or having a flat and not being able to fix it.

What time do you wake up?
Between 5:15 and 6:30

Favorite song to train to?
Anything from Rob Zombie to Hip Hop and even some country.

Running

What kind of food do you eat during a workout?
Clif Bars, Clif Bar Shot Blocks, Sport Beans

Chips & Salsa

Rowing, boxing, lifting weights, scuba diving, snorkeling- (yea, right- not around here!)

Something that you like to do that is not sports related?
Taking pictures, laying out by the pool, organizing and creating fun things

Grey’s Anatomy & How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days

Greatest motivator?
Cellulite!

Interesting fact about yourself?
I used to have a thumping car stereo complete with 10 inch woofers & an amp in my car in high school.

What do you like to do to get away from triathlon?
Happy hour with friends, relaxing at a pool or lake, visiting college friends, or hanging with my nephews & mom.
